Photos

I know I haven’t posted anything in a long time, and I’m sorry….thats what happens when you are constantly busy. But anywho I did get to post some photos on my photography blog for those that haven’t already seen then on my facebook. Go take a look and tell me what you think!

um…..

So I haven’t posted pictures and I’m sorry….I’ve been busy and honestly never think about it. I would post some right now but my external hard drive where my pictures are is currently at the dance studio. So um…yah…..

But guess what!?!? We’re leaving for Disney World tomorrow! WOOHOO! I’m so excited. I can’t wait to see Jaden’s face. She has been asking me all day and got mad when I was leaving earlier today because she thought I was going to the castle with out her lol. Soon my child…soon! We wont get to go tomorrow because we wont get in until like 4:30 and need to get settled and all. But Friday we are going bright and early. I want to go take her to the castle the first day because she has been talking about it every day since the day I told her. Then we’ll venture the other parks and go to the beach. Ah to get my feet wet in the ocean. That right there is my main goal. The rest is just icing on the cake :). I am not taking my Nikon camera with me because I would shatter into pieces if anything happened to it. So although I will have lots of pictures they will not be up to quality as the last trips. But thats ok….as long as we have the pictures right?

Anyways, just letting you all know that when its raining in the midwest all next week…I will be enjoying the sun, sand, and all the little disney characters. And I may be back after a week if I don’t decide to not come back. :)

Quick bit…

Oh I was going to post this and forgot, but I really want to share this blog with everyone. Some of you may already read it and some of you may know this amazing lady. Those who don’t I encourage you to read it. Her name is Julie Blair and she is an awesome writer. However Julie has been diagnosed with cancer and is currently undergoing radiation and chemo. Despite her obstacles she is facing she is still upbeat and the same zany person. I have known her for quite awhile. She was a teacher at my highschool (still is actually) and the wife to one of my moms bosses. She actually was my “mentor” for when I did online classes and did my testing for me. She is a wonderful lady and I’m sure everyone who knows her agrees. So if you have time check out her blog and give her some thoughts and prayers. I’m sure you will become addicted to her blog as I have….

We’re still alive!

Ok, so we haven’t fallen off the face of the Earth, although I haven’t posted anything in a loooong time. Since Jason has been home we have been going and going and going. And there is so much I haven’t wrote about and I’m so far behind. I was going through my 101 list and man there is a lot to write about! So depending how tired I get…this could get rather lengthy. I also have lots of pictures to upload but that will have to wait because I’m too lazy to go get the pictures off of Jason’s computer onto mine. Which leads me to my first story….

Yah so the computer I purchased last fall, well it died. Well not just died…it caught itself on fire. Literally. Well ok, so I didn’t see any flames but there was smoke. No Joke! Long story short I couldn’t get it fixed under warranty cause there were “food particles” in it. GRRR! So I had to buy a new computer and a cheapo one at that. Blah! At least I have one but I wasn’t about to pay a lot of mone to get a new one like before. It was actually cheaper than what it was going to cost to fix my other one. So I replaced it. I still get ticked about it at times but there is nothing I can do about….So move along angry brain!

Next story…So the weiner dog from hell…Ruger… He’s gone as well. He didn’t die like my computer did (at least I hope not) but he is no longer with us. He decided to jet out the door on one of the coldest snowy nights while I was unloading groceries into the house. I chased him down the icy road until I couldn’t catch up with him anymore. I ran back to get in my car and searched, but I never found him. I called every animal shelter, veterinary office, animal control, and I even put it on the radio. But no, no Ruger. So my little Ruger boy is gone. I hope he found a good family that has the time and attention he needs. At least in my mind that is where he is. I was so worried about him but I just have to think positive and hope he has a good home.

So that brings me to my 101 in 1001 list. #31 was to teach Ruger obedience and tricks….and that is out of my hands. But we are getting another dog the first of May. So I think I will switch it over to her. Yes I said her. She is a Redbone Coonhound and is just about 4 weeks old. She is really Jason’s dog and he has wanted a redbone forever. So this is his deployment present I guess we could say. But I’m really excited for her because gosh darnit after looking at the pictures of her (well all the pups) who wouldn’t be? Check out the pictures on this website. Can we say adorable?

So I have knocked a lot of my list and there is still a lot going to get crossed off in the next month. The biggest one coming up is our family trip to Disney! Holy crow I’m excited. I can’t beleive its a little over a week away. Which kind of freaks me out because I should probably start packing so we have everything we need. We took a weekend trip to Omaha and then followed it with a trip to the Ozarks the weekend after and we were hardly prepared for them. At least those were only few day trips so we made do. But this trip is a week long and yah…don’t think its a good idea to leave what we need behind. But besides the packing and anxiousness…I am so looking forward to seeing Jaden’s face the minute we walk in the park. Omg I can’t contain myself! So be looking for those pictures in the next few weeks!

Another list crosser offer….#85 Join a gym. So we joined Snap Fitness here in town and I really like it there. I get to tan and work out all in one place which is great! The only problem is that we haven’t had time to go. But after the Disney trip everything should be settling down so we can get into a schedule again. Plus May 4th is when Jason goes back to work so we will be working on scheduling and what we’re doing. I am looking for work for when he goes back and realy I’m just wanting random things. I’m really into party planning all of a sudden. Don’t know why…maybe its the Bridal shower I’m planning for my cousin. I don’t know but I like it. So lets add it to the list of my jobs….Dance Teacher, Photorapher, Party/Even planner, vet technitian in training……oh and uh soon to be dog breeder. Can’t forget a mother and wife…now thats a big job in itself ;). I also am wanting any other random jobs. House sitting, pet sitting, even babysitting. Whatever….I’m just rolling with the flow. I consider myself a hodge podger…I like to dabble in everything. I don’t think I will ever settle with just one job. Its just not me. I have too much desire to conquer it all :).

Ok got off track there…hehe….Ok #96 and #97 kind of go hand in hand. #96 was to clean out the shed and make a dog kennel out of it….well slight problem. It was falling apart and was just plain junk. So we tore it down. I should have taken pictures because it was quite a sight for a couple days. But it gave us a patio to plan. There is a concrete slab out there and we’re not going to tear it up. Instead we are going to beautify it with paver stones, rock walls, flower beds and a pond. I’m excited for this project. I will have to take a before picture soon. Although if the weather will stay warm for more than one day at a time, I may have some time before we can get to it. So in the meantime we have completed #97 Buy a new shed. We bought it and built it (well Jason built it) before we tore the other one down. It is smaller but it is really all we need. It sits in a better spot than the middle of the yard. It is out of the way but near the garden area so it’s easy to get to while we’re in that stage. Yes, yes…the garden. It is back! Well, it will be back once we can get to planting. That all depends on the weather. Our first year here, the garden was quite an ordeal. It was huge and we didn’t really plan it out well…too much of everything. It was a little too much, but to be quite honest I missed it last year. There was no way I was going to do it myself. Hell I could barely get out to mow. I didn’t want to worry about it because it is Jason’s thing. I did look out the back window every so often and wish I had one. There is nothing like eating what you grew. Kind of a satisfaction thing I guess. If you have ever had a garden you know what I’m talking about. Anywho, the garden area is tilled and ready to go. Now the weather is what we’re waiting for.

Ok…so I just have to complain real quick about the weather after that last paragraph. I’m so frustrated and I have to get it out of me. WTF Man! I mean seriously. It is the middle of April and this weather SUCKS! Well it’s not every day….it’s oh I think I will get really nice and warm today….just a tease. And then tomorrow I’m going to spit hail and ice and maybe I’ll throw in some snow. UGH! I HATE MIDWEST WEATHER! Hate it! It makes me so mad and I know it’s useless because there is nothing I can do about it….which makes me even more mad. Damn weather…puts me in bad moods. I just want it to be nice and sunny so we can go outside. Kids are happier outside. I’m happier outside. Yard work gets done. All is good when its warm. But no….the weather has to Suck majority of the time so we have to be stuck inside….still. GRRRRRR!

Ok I’m better now :)

And yes…I still have more…..

#45 Buy Adobe Photoshop….Okay so Jason got this one over in Kosovo. It’s on his computer and we can’t transfer it over to mine so I haven’t been able to mess with it too much. I ordered some books to get me back into it. I did remember more than I thought I would but it took some fiddling around. But when I get the time and we are done with the going and going I can take some time out to work with it some more. But hey….at least I know I have it now.

So uh…I have quite a bit more…but I want to post photos with them. If I get a chance this week I’ll get them up…but right now I need to go to bed! I have to get up in the morning and get sick kids to the dr. Yay! I need to go myself too, but I have to go in Tuesday for an Echocardiogram…oh yah. That reminds me of another story. But I wont get into too much detail. I just have some health issues going on that we can’t figure out the cause. Nothing serious….But anyways I will try to be back soon to post the pictures. They are some really good ones, but some may know that by peeking at my facebook already;).

Good night!

He’s home!!!!

I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted, but I have a good excuse! So my computer fried itself. Yah, totally fried. Smoke came out from it an everything! So because of that I have lost everything. EVERYTHING!!!! All my pictures and files…everything. Yah nice! So I’ve been without a computer and I will be recieving a new one in another week…Grrr!

Other than that….JASON IS HOME!!! He got in Monday in the morning and it’s been wonderful ever since! I’m totally at peace now. It’s great. Its still trying to sink in that he is actually here. It was really kind of weird the first day. Almost like it wasn’t real. But it’s real and he really is home, and home for good! He will be ours for the next two years!!! Amen to that!

So that is all for now. Just had to tell the world that my husband is home! :)

Morgan’s First Birthday!

dscf2020

Ok so I’m a little late, but better than never. My baby turned one on the 7th and it’s hard to beleive. It’s crazy how it seems like time is taking forever at the moment but when you look back it really flied! Anyways, my little comic turned one and she had a good day. I’m so blessed to have her in my life. So Happy (late) Birthday Morgie Belle!

Pictures

I posted pictures on the dance studio website if anyone wants to take a look. Follow the link to the site on the left hand side and then select the pictures tab up top. You will definately be able to tell the difference between my old camera and my new one!!!

My first photos with my new camera…

Ok so I’ll just cut the chit chat and get straight to the pictures. I love what I’ve taken so far and it’s just the beginning! ENJOY!

dsc_0047

Yup thats me showing off my new favorite thing!

dsc_0040

Dakota really wanted nothing to do with my camera, but was a good sport. I love her expression in this one. It’s like “if I must…”. I love my little (big) Koder dog!

dsc_0062

The pain in my butt, otherwise known as Ruger. He’s such a hyper little dog that it was hard to get him sitting still. Everytime he seen me point the camera to him he’d run to me trying to be nosy like always.

I took a bunch at dance that night but will only post the more creative ones. If you want to check out the others I will be posting them soon on the dance website where I can post them. I’ll let you know once they are on, but here are a couple that I took real quick in creative mode.

My tap shoe.

A good one of Jaden. She is definately going to by mommy’s little model!

dsc_0291

I smile everytime I look at this picture. My little comedian is such a cutie!

dsc_0298

Got to love the snot crusted face lol.

dsc_0302

Although lighting wasn’t ideal, this photo reminds me of one of those proffesional in studio portraits of a dog.

dsc_0314

Buds on the tree already? Only cause this february weather is CRAZY!

dsc_0316

This poor truck was feeling lonely, so I gave it some love :).

dsc_03181

 Chevy needs a bath!

dsc_0339

Ok so this is actually not the one I meant to post of these buds, but man this takes forever to load that I’m just going to leave it!

dsc_0369

Jaden playing in the sandbox…she found a cow that was left out here from the fall!

And here is my favorite one of Morgan. Tears and all!

Ok, so I’m tired…and this took forever! I was going to post pictures of Morgan’s birthday but man that is going to have to wait for another day! But anyways, hope you liked my first round of pictures. Many more to come in the future!

I’m Baaaack!

Ok…so the past couple weeks have been hell…sick children and busy schedule. Too much going on and with two sick children…I’m pooped. And then my charger broke on my computer and BLAH! Rough month it’s been! But I have a lot to post about which I never finished in the first place. Lets hope I can get the time or think about getting to everything I want to within this next week. Bug me if I don’t!….ok so here is the one I’m most excited about……….

I GOT MY NEW CAMERA!!!! Woohoo! It’s a Nikon D90 with a 18-105 mm lens. I also got the Nikon SB-600 flash to go with it along with a few other minor accesories. I have only had it a few days and I’m in love! I’m dying for this weather to get better now so I can get out to take pictures. I have taken some in the house testing out the flash and Jaden and I got outside the other day while Morgan was taking a nap. I still have no idea what I’m doing with this camera :) but I’m learning. I have books I’ve ordered and have that I’ve been looking at. I’m also beginning to look for seminars and anything I can to help me learn. I think I will like this job!… Oh and this crosses off #61 off my 101 list!!! (Pictures coming soon!)

Another thing to mark off my list is #13…Create a playroom for the girls. I will post pictures soon but man…It’s the most amazing room I think I have done. I think I should go into interior decorating :). Everything in that room pretty much happened by chance. It’s incredibly different than what I had planned. It all started with the wrong color paint…which I actually loved more than what I had in mind. Then it just skyrocketed from there. I did everything myself besides the new wall that my Step Dad built along the staircase and my Mom and Cousin Lisa helped paint a little. But I put all my energy, sweat, and blood into this room. Did I mention blood? I swear I hurt myself at least once a night up there. And did I say night!? Yes…every night after the girls were in bed I would work upstairs staying up till 3 in the morning. But it was well worth it and I love it. It is now my favorite room in the house! I love being up there and so do the girls. It’s a great room for them now and 10 years from now. Once you see the pictures you will know what I mean. It’s a great room they can grow in and it will still be cool 10 years from now. That is if we are here 10 years from now (God help me if we are!). Anyways…there is #13 crossed off! :)

Ok so the next few things aren’t finished yet but are on there way to getting done. #35 – Learn how to play an instrument. I have been wanting to learn how to play the guitar and the piano for years now and I finally bought myself a guitar. Grant it, it’s not the best guitar in the world but it’s a good start. It only cost me $30 so how good can it be? But I just got it today and learned how to tune it and I have more books coming to help teach me. The book that came with it really just threw me for a loop and I’m so confused lol. I may have to take lessons from a pro to get me started, but we will see how far the books can get me :). #49 – Buy a bigger vehicle. Yup this one is in the works. I found the perfect car for us and it’s not a mini van (I will surprise you with it once I get it in front of my house :)) ! WOOHOO! I have dreaded the day that I would have to buy a mini van, but was seriously looking at them. Somehow though, this other vehicle came to me. Yes, came to me. I love it and I can’t wait to take it home. I go get my car appraised this weekend and start the fun process of buying a vehicle again. Yay… There are also a few numbers in my list that kind of end at the same goal. Last year was a year from hell, literally. I’ve been through a lot and there is still a lot to cover and get through, but this year is already getting better. So many great things are happening this year and I think it will help me tremendously. I’m not quite ready to mark them off because I know I’m not close to being there yet. But I am finally on the right track and heading the right direction. So there will be a few more I will get to mark off…and to be honest I think those will be the biggest things and the ones that will feel the best to cross off!

There are a lot more things that are coming within the next 4 months or so but I don’t have the time to get it all down. Plus they can be surprises :). So I’m ending this post to start a new one that some of you are impatiently waiting for… The first pictures from my new camera….here they come!

Disney World!!!

So a couple weeks ago I posted about our trip to San Antonio and Corpus Christie….well scratch that out of your memory because guess what!? WE’RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD! We got this amazing deal to go to Disney from the Military and we couldn’t pass it up. We will be taking the girls although a little young, but we don’t know when we will get this opportunity again. This trip to Disney costs less than what it would to drive to Texas! How bout them apples! We will be going for 6 nights and will be staying at a condo. We get into the parks for really cheap the whole week and get into Sea World for FREE! So we are definately going to have a great time! I’m so excited! I haven’t been there since I was five and have been dying to go back ever since. Jason has never been, and actually has never been on a vacation so he is in for a real treat! So this will mark our first family vacation which I will be crossing off the list the end of April!

So since me and Jason wont have our little honeymoon we will be taking just a weekend getaway at the Ozarks for the two of us. I found this awesome cabin that has it’s own little lake and is completely secluded. There is nothing around it. Just absolute peace and quiet all to ourselves! So that will be a second item we will be crossing off in April! April is just going to be a good month! :)
